A Calvert Hall College High School team is headed to Nebraska this week for a national robotics competition.
The U.S. National VEX Robotics Championships run Thursday through Saturday. This year's game is Gateway, a two-on-two competition where robots score points by lifting balls and barrels into goals.
Calvert Hall's robotics team has participated in five championships since last June. Calvert Hall's team includes senior Curtis Hughey, sophomore Daniel Kumpf, freshmen George Hughey, Christopher Iler, Sean Mullin and Robbie Shovan and graduate Benjamin Lelonek.
The competition will be streamed online.
