Community Members Question Towson Manor Park Sign
A portion of the sign has gone missing since a mid-2010 Patch photograph of it was taken.
Community members are wondering what has happened to a sign at Towson Manor Park.
A mid-2010 Patch photo shows a section of the sign that reads "A Program Open Space Project MD. Dept. of Natural Resources." The section is no longer there, although the hooks that previously held it up are.
"It could be totally coincidental that it's not there anymore, but [community members] were talking about it," said Ed Kilcullen, a Towson Manor resident and past president of the Greater Towson Council of Community Associations.
Ellen Kobler, a county spokeswoman, could not immediately confirm what became of that portion of the sign.
County Executive Kevin Kamenetz previously said that if land in the open space program was used for development, it is mandated by law that the county replaces it.
The county is currently considering the park as a potential site for a new firehouse.
Associate Regional Editor Bryan Sears contributed to this report.

Maybe if they took down the sign that said "Towson Manor Park" we would all forget that it was a park. Because we are that stupid.
