County To Auction Vacant Former Office Building

Baltimore County is accepting sealed bids on the property at 301 Washington Ave.

If you're in the market for some prime real estate in the heart of Towson, Baltimore County has a deal for you.

The former recreation and parks headquarters, located at 301 Washington Ave., is hitting the auction block. The county is accepting sealed bids on the property through Nov. 21.

The 13,278-square-foot building, which once housed 26 employees, has been vacant since 2007.

The 17,200-square-foot lot includes 17 parking spaces and a gazebo.

But what's on the lot might not be as attractive as its possibilities. The property is zoned BM-CT, which could allow a high-rise building, like the nearby Palisades apartment complex.

For more information on the auction, contact Lois Bergman at lbergman@baltimorecountymd.gov.

What would you want to see done with the building? Tell us in the comments.
