Crime Log: Several Bike Thefts in Towson Area

Man robbed outside Crate and Barrel; arrests made on attempted burglary in Riderwood

 

Here are this week's major incidents, compiled from Towson precinct reports. As always, if you have any information on these crimes, you're urged to contact Baltimore County police.

Downtown Towson

Dulaney Valley Road, 800 block. May 17 at noon. A man exiting Crate and Barrel towards the parking garage was thrown against a wall. The robber stole a cell phone and a wallet containing $30 and credit cards.

West Pennsylvania Avenue, 100 block. May 21 at 2:50 p.m. A robber held a switchblade to a man's back and stole a bus pass and MTA disability ID.

Rodgers Forge

York Road, 7100 block. Between May 15 at 7 p.m. and May 16 at 6 a.m. A Schwinn mountain bike was stolen.

Fairways at Towson

Lachlan Circle, 7000 block. May 17, between 11:15 a.m. and noon. Someone stole an Xbox 360, two laptops, two watches, a Nikon digital camera and an iPod nano.

Loch Raven Village

Loch Raven Boulevard, 8200 block. May 18 or 19. Someone broke a window screen and stole polo shirts, pants and sneakers.

Pleasant Plains Road, 8200 block. Between May 15 and May 21. Someone stole a blue girl's bike and an orange boy's bike from a backyard shed.

Aigburth Manor

Worchester Road, 500 block. Between May 12 and May 19. Someone stole a bike from a garage.

Riderwood

Jeffers Circle, 8200 block. May 20 at 4:10 p.m. According to a victim, two people were trying to break into his house. The suspects told police they came to collect a debt. Police arrested a juvenile and Desean Ragland, 19, of the 7500 block of Mary Avenue.

Anneslie

Castle Drive, 500 block. May 18 at 10:35 p.m. A man brandished a handgun and robbed a woman outside her car. The man stole a Coach purse containing $442.

Overbrook Road, 600 block. Between May 19 and May 21. Someone stole two gas cans, an electric screwdriver and a Stihl edger from a detached garage.

Towson Park

Fairmount Road, 900 block. May 18 at 3:40 p.m. Two boys entered a gated backyard and took a bike. Police arrested two juveniles shortly afterward, and the bike was returned.
