Lying to the Police is kind of an odd crime given that when the case gets tried in the court room the best liar is the winner.

This dude is about to learn a lesson! ....or maybe not.

She is so close to graduation..Couldn't she hold out 5 months. She must be close to 18 yrs old. Sad that this family, her included could not resolve this. In addition, she is much to young to date a 23 year old. My daughter would have to wait till she was 18 to even think about dating someone older than her.

Not funny-- He lied about her whereabouts. He let her parents, family and friends worry about whether she was alive. He lied to the police resulting in a lot of wasted manhours that could have been used elsewhere. What is he doing out on his own recognizance?

She is ridiculous. What kind of person would let her family suffer through thr holidays wondering if she was ever coming home. Like previously said, She wasted police resources and I think she should be charged as well. Make an example out of her and make her regret her little hide and seek game!

Decades ago, sullen girls would run off, away from home, with their boyfriends, all the time. They'd find out things weren't as hunky-dory as they had dreamed, and they snuck back to their families, and nobody was the wiser, UNLESS they got pregnant (that's another story altogether)
NOW, it becomes front-page news, the police are involved,and boyfriend is arrested.

Her family said she was a good girl and wouldnt just run off, I quess they dont know her to well, maybe they should spend some time with her and well get to know her!
I agree charges should be brought against her as well, for hiding from the police, using man hours that could have been used else where. Maybe some community service down at a soup kitchen or a homeless shelter for battered woman would help scare some since into her.

when does it stop? when do the teenagers start having some sense of all the grief they generate by acting out like this? And where is the sense of the 23 year old? Obviously neither individual has any concerns for parents and/or family members?
