Library to Distribute Tickets to Carrie Fisher Talk
The "Star Wars" actress will be visiting Towson on Feb. 2.
In contrast to her iconic film role, Carrie Fisher's upcoming appearance is not a very long time from now nor in a galaxy far, far away.
The Star Wars actress is appearing at the Towson Library on Feb. 2.
Free tickets to her appearance will be handed out at 9 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 9, at the Towson Library. The library will distribute one ticket per person, and tickets are first-come, first-served. The event is only open to people 18 and up, so leave your little Jedi at home.
Fisher will talk about her books Shockaholic and Wishful Drinking and take questions from the audience.
The appearance is in conjunction with Fisher's one woman show, Wishful Drinking, which runs from Jan. 31 to Feb. 12 at the Hippodrome in Baltimore.
The library is also hosting a special BCPL night at the Feb. 9 show. Fans can buy tickets online (the password is BCPL) for $45, with $5 going to the Foundation for Baltimore County Public Library. After the show, Fisher will host a 30-minute question-and-answer session with fans.
