Nearly 1 Year Later, No Suspects in Fatal Towson Hit-And-Run
Towson University student Ryan Bailey was pronounced dead at the scene on York Road near Washington Avenue.
Nearly one year later, Baltimore County police have not been able to identify the driver in a hit-and-run incident that left a Towson University student dead.
"For our closure, it's important to find the person who did this," said William Bailey, father of Ryan Bailey, a 20-year-old student who was killed on March 31, 2012.
At around 1:50 a.m., police and fire crews discovered Ryan Bailey dead at the scene near York Road and Washington Avenue. Investigators determined he was walking northbound when an older model silver or white boxy style car that was traveling northbound on York Road in the same lane struck Ryan Bailey and knocked him toward the sidewalk.
"It's still difficult to talk about," said William Bailey, a Seaford, NY resident.
William Bailey described the former accounting major as "very outgoing, with a lot of friends."
"He was looking forward to graduating—would have been this year," he said.
Towson University held a vigil in remembrance of Ryan Bailey in April 2012.
Police are asking anyone with information to call (410)-307-2020.
