UPDATE: Recher Theatre Liquor Board Hearing Rescheduled For Nov. 19

The Towson business received extensive media coverage following fights that broke out outside the venue in September.

The Baltimore County Liquor Board hearing for Recher Theatre has been rescheduled for Nov. 19.

The Towson business was initially slated for a hearing on Monday, but county officials canceled it due to the threat of superstorm Sandy.

Recher caught the local media spotlight in September after fights broke out among a crowd of approximately 2,500 people outside the building. Seven men were arrested for their roles in the fights.

The venue faces the loss of its liquor license, and management must answer for alleged noise violations.

The hearing is set to start at 11:05 a.m., in room 104 of the Jefferson Building, located at 105 W. Chesapeake Avenue.

The hearing was initially scheduled to start at 2:05 p.m., but was changed due to a scheduling conflict, according to an email from Ellen Kobler, a county spokeswoman.

Instead of "reviewing" the Recher Theatre's liquor license, Kamenetz should be thanking the Rechers for the years of great business they've brought to Towson. Whatever happened to placing the blame where it belongs - squarely on the shoulders of all the people who acted like animals that night???
