Tonight: National Night Out in Towson

The community group's event is one of many across the county.

Residents from across Towson will join with community, business and police leaders Tuesday night for Towson Area Citizens on Patrol's National Night Out.

COP volunteers will meet at Towson Place Shopping Center (outside Michael's) starting at 5:30 p.m. COP members, as well as police and fire vehicles, are set to parade through the Towson area starting at 6 p.m.

The event is also a food drive for the Assistance Center of Towson Churches. Participants are asked to bring nonperishable food items. TACOP has already been collecting food for ACTC ahead of the event.

Towson Area Citizens on Patrol is grateful to Roger Proehl, COP leader and all the residents of Ridgely Condominium for all their food donations. Thanks also go to Wesley Wood for bringing the food donations to National Night Out. COPs in the Towson area will be "filling the truck" with food donations from the Towson Area.
