Towson Crime: Phones Stolen in Robberies
The following information was supplied by the Baltimore County Police Department. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.
Donachie Road, 6900 block. 1:16 a.m. Aug. 1. Two men approached a couple. One pointed a handgun at them and ordered them to lay on the ground. The men stole an iPhone 4, debit card and a Verizon Droid phone.
Taylor Avenue, 1000 block. 10:14 p.m. Aug. 1. Three men knocked a man to the ground, dragged him across the sidewalk, removed his cargo shorts and took a brown T-Mobile flip phone and a wallet. The three men fled toward Salvo Auto Parts. The wallet was later recovered.
Wentworth Avenue, 1700 block. 2:36 a.m. Aug. 5. A resident woke up to find four men trying to break into his shed. He went outside and the men fled toward Forrest Avenue.
North Charles Street, 6500 block. Between 3:30 p.m. July 27 and 7 a.m. July 30. Eight 2x4 aluminum shoring panels and two 34x45 steel struts were reported stolen from a construction site at Sheppard Pratt.
Lasalle Road, 8100 block. Between 5 p.m. July 30 and 5:45 a.m. July 31. At Calvert Hall, a burglar broke a plywood construction door and stole $4,300 worth of copper.
Aberdeen Road, 1700 block. Between 7:30 a.m. and 3:10 p.m. Aug. 3. A burglar pried open a door frame and stole an Xbox 360 and an industrial floor leveler.
York Road, 6300 block. 5:50 a.m. Aug. 3. Burglars used a hammer to smash a glass door at Radio Shack, then tried unsuccessfully to steal cell phones from a stock room.
Oak and Red Oak roads. Between 7:30 p.m. Aug. 1 and 5:15 a.m. Aug. 2. A 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee (Virginia tag XAJ1057) was reported stolen. Police had no information on how the vehicle was taken.
Ruxlea Court, unit block. Between 3 p.m. July 23 and 6 p.m. Aug. 1. A Stihl leafblower was reported stolen from an unlocked shed.
Walker Avenue, 600 block. 11:10 p.m. July 30. Two burglars cut a window screen, took a purse and fled. Police arrested one juvenile.
