Towson Library Had 2,808 Participants in Summer Reading Club
A total of 48,413 kids completed the program countywide.
A record-breaking 48,413 kids participated in Baltimore County Public Library's 2012 Summer Reading Club, including 2,808 at the Towson branch.
The program, which ran from June 11 to Aug. 12, had the theme of "Dream Big: Read!" for pre-school and elementary-age kids, and "Own the Night" for older participants, according to a news release from the county library system.
The Cockeysville branch boasted the highest number of participants with 5,741, the release reads.
Last year, a total of 45,971 participants were recorded.
