It's hard to believe this photo, which dates back to World War I, is actually of York Road in Towson.

Downloaded from the Baltimore County Public Library's digital photo collection, the photo shows the Bee Hive, a tailoring and dry good store that was located at 527 York Road, according to the library's catalog.

That puts it just between the J.M. Watkins building; which you probably know better as The Crease to the south, and Strebers to the north.

The library catalog also notes that Eliza Hahn Bosley—of the Bosley family (for whom Bosley Avenue is named) was born at the property on January 1, 1880.
