The Walmart Foundation will donate $100,000 to  Meals on Wheels of Central Maryland next Monday in Towson.  The money will used for tray sealers for the Meals on Wheels kitchen in Highlandtown.

Meals on Wheels, which delivers free meals to seniors, is struggling with increasing demand and rising gas prices. The new equipment will help Meals on Wheels cut costs and serve more area residents, the organization said in a press release.

The $100,000 check presentaion will be 10 a.m., Oct. 3 at the Towson Walmart. The donation is part of $5 million the company pledged to fund Meals on Wheels programs nationwide.
