Fall is one of my favorite seasons. Whenever September and October roll around, it means I can start doing things around the home I haven’t been able or wanted to do for months!
For instance, the colors of fall are some of my favorites. Orange (one of the rooms in may house is orange), yellow and red really give my home a new look that I always welcome this time of year. Plus, it gives the illusion that I’ve completely redecorated my home, even if it’s only a few changes to the accessories.
In the kitchen, I can break out the slow-cooker for hearty soups and stews. Unlike in the summer when it’s 90-100 degrees outside, I don’t have to worry about the oven being on for a few hours. This means my recipes can expand to those savory and cozy casseroles that seem so out of place in the summer.
So all this being said, it should be no surprise that I’ve made Sur La Table one of my go-to retailers for fall accessories and cooking needs. When I was in the store this past week, I was amazed at some of the adorable flatware, mugs, cookware, napkins and more they have this season.
As for cooking... well, it’s safe to say if you want to make it this fall, they have the tools, accessories, cookbooks, and even ingredients that will make you WANT to stay inside on a chilly autumn afternoon. I especially liked the doughnut-hole and waffle-dipper sheet pans! Who knew they even existed? My kids will be thrilled!
For a look at all of the fantastic fall items Sur La Table is offering, check out my blog post from earlier this week right HERE. I would love to know what you liked the most, so let me know. When you go into the store, tell them the Towson Town Center GURU sent you.
