As we approach the summer weather, it is always good to make sure that your indoor and outdoor plants are receiving the proper care. Check indoor plants to make sure they are not near any air conditioning vents where cold air could affect their growth.
Likewise, indoor plants should not be placed in areas that become too warm or with hot direct sunlight that could burn their leaves. Outdoor plants thrive in specific conditions. As the hot summer sun beats down, it is best to make sure your shade plants are staying in the shade and your sun plants get enough light.
Watering this time of year can be a little time consuming but your plants will do best when watered in the morning (and for a second time in the afternoon depending on the plant and the temperature). Your summer gardens should be maintained throughout the entire season so they can still be enjoyed as fall sets in.
