As of 5:06 p.m., Baltimore Gas & Electric customers in Baltimore County have the highest number of power outages in the state.
According to BGE's website, 20,608 customers are without power. This is more than double Harford County, which, at 8,125 reported outages, has the second highest figure.
Currently, 47,008 BGE customers statewide are without power. The Baltimore Sun reported at 4:30 p.m. that more than 60,000 Marylanders suffered outages.
BGE officials expect that several hundred thousand customers in total will lose power as a result of Hurricane Sandy.
