VIDEO TUTORIAL: 'Hunger Games' Inspired Makeup

Learn how to recreate the sure-to-become iconic look from the Capitol of Panem.

When fans first saw the trailer for The Hunger Games, perhaps the most striking visual (aside from the 10-second countdown to iminent danger) was the posh, pink look of Elizabeth Banks as Effie Trinket.

See trailer here.

Banks spent three hours a day in a makeup chair through weeks of filming to create the unqiue — high-concept — look of the capital city of Panem.

Patch can help you recreate that look in under five minutes. Just watch the video above. The tutorial will help you stand out, if you plan on dressing in character for The Hunger Game's opening weekend.

If you are dressing up for the premier, post your photos to this story by clicking the "upload" link above.

Did you go to the midnight premier of The Hunger Games? What did you think? Will you be dressing up? Was the makeup tutorial helpful? Tell us in the comments secton below!

Wonderful video. Reminds me of a geisha in blue. I did the heart-shaped mouth in bright red against white foundation as a geisha in blue floral kimono for a Halloween party when in my early 30's. My husband was a samurai. Glad to see the little heart may be back.

That's so cute! Lady Gaga was doing for a while (during her "paparazzi" phase) and I loved it then too. It really changes the face!
