A majority of Maryland Voters support a ballot question that would grant in-state tuition to some illegal immigrants in Maryland, according to a Democratic pollster.
A two-page memo by Washington DC-based political consultants Garin Hart Yang Research Group says the firm's polling shows that 60 percent of likely Maryland voters favor the issue known as Question 4.
Opposition to the ballot question remained stable at 26 percent compared to the last polling on the issue done by the same firm in March. Undecided voters accounted for the shift, according to the Garin Hart Yang memo.
"Question 4 enjoys strong support throughout the Maryland electorate, garnering close to three-fifths of the vote among white voters and three-fourths among African Americans. In fact, support for Question 4 is so broad that even one-third of [Mitt] Romney voters are in favor," pollster's memo states.
The memo was posted on the Educating Maryland's Kids website, a group advocating for the passage of the referendum question.
The questions were not made public. The poll queried 503 likely Maryland voters between Sept. 14 and 16 and has a margin of error of plus or minus 4.5 percent.
The same pollster issued a memo in August citing overwhelming support for the same-sex marriage referendum question.
Garin Hart Yang Research works for a number of Democratic clients around the country including Gov. Martin O'Malley, Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, Howard County Executive Ken Ulman and former Baltimore County Executive Jim Smith.
Regarding the Native Americans, the vast majority of those who died were killed by disease.
The whole we are becoming Greece canard is patently false. It's a Glen Beck talking point. Most of the time they try to compare California and Greece but that dog don't hunt either. http://www.theatlantic.com/business/archive/2012/08/5-graphs-that-show-how-crazy-it-is-to-compare-california-to-greece/260939/

"Tanton writes, “Roy Beck and I think we have come up with an idea that can actually move the battle lines on the immigration question in our favor. While we are working on other ideas to move Democrats, this one involves using the recently released census data to show Republican members of Congress, the Administration, and the party’s leadership how massive immigration imperils their political future. The goal is to change Republicans’ perception of immigration so that when they encounter the word “immigrant,” their reaction is “Democrat.” …Our plan is to hire a lobbyist who will carry the following message to Republicans on Capitol Hill and to business leaders: Continued massive immigration will soon cost you political control of the White House and Congress.”
Why not try to make a useable solution to a completely failed and broken system. If your job is threatened by an under edcuated undocumented person, you actually have bigger problems...lol
http://mlis.state.md.us/2011rs/billfile/SB0167.htm says: "PROVIDES TO THE COMMUNITY COLLEGE DOCUMENTATION THAT THE INDIVIDUAL OR THE INDIVIDUAL’S PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN HAS FILED A MARYLAND INCOME TAX RETURN: ANNUALLY FOR THE 3 YEARS WHILE THE INDIVIDUAL ATTENDED A PUBLIC OR NONPUBLIC SECONDARY SCHOOL IN THE STATE IN ACCORDANCE WITH ITEM (1) OF THIS SUBSECTION; ANNUALLY DURING THE PERIOD, IF ANY, BETWEEN GRADUATION FROM A PUBLIC OR NONPUBLIC SECONDARY SCHOOL IN THE STATE AND REGISTRATION AT A COMMUNITY COLLEGE IN THE STATE; AND ANNUALLY DURING THE PERIOD OF ATTENDANCE AT THE COMMUNITY COLLEGE" "REGISTERS IN A COMMUNITY COLLEGE IN THE STATE NOT LATER THAN 4 YEARS AFTER GRADUATING FROM A PUBLIC OR NONPUBLIC SECONDARY SCHOOL IN THE STATE OR RECEIVING THE EQUIVALENT OF A HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA IN THE STATE." "REGISTERS AT A PUBLIC SENIOR HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTION IN THE STATE NOT LATER THAN 4 YEARS AFTER GRADUATING FROM OR ACHIEVING 60 CREDITS AT A COMMUNITY COLLEGE IN THE STATE."
Now, the parents are on the hook for the 3 years during high school, plus the 4 years between high school and community college, and the 2 years in community college. That's 3 + 4 + 2 = 9 years of tax filings. The typical path would be 3 + 2 = 5 years of tax filings, though maybe shorter in the case of extremely bright kids who go to community college while in secondary school I'd guess. I get that you could possibly sit around, have your kid wait around file 9 years of back taxes at the last minute just to get your kid a student rate but what do you actually think the likelihood of that being done as a widespread practice is.
And don;t beLIEve the Obama deportation numbers. They are fake and Obama has even said so. They count all those who have been caught AT the border and returned to the other side. If they return and are caught agian they are counted again. then again and again and again since they do not charge them with even the civil crime which would make it a felony to re-enter again. "Chairman Smith: “Internal Department of Homeland Security documents obtained by the House Judiciary Committee reveal that President Obama and other administration officials have falsified their record to achieve their so-called historic deportation numbers. Administration officials claim that Immigration and Customs Enforcement has deported a record number of illegal immigrants but the facts show that they have fabricated their deportation statistics by illegitimately adding over 100,000 removals to their deportation figures for the past two years."
NONE! Wake the hell up and get off your hatred of non-white people, because speaking as a white born American.... that is what I have to say this is.
Secondly do you have a problem with the less restrictive laws that have existed in Texas, Kansas and Nebraska for about 10 years?
