Interested in shopping local, but not sure how to do it with wine?
Jordan Fish, in the Towson Patch blog on Baltimore County government, writes that several Baltimore County vineyards and wineries were recognized for excellence at the recent 23rd Annual Maryland Governor's Cup Competition.
Fish writes that among those wines recognized were:
- Boordy Vineyards' Vidal Blanc 2012: "Best in Class" for Off-Dry Varietal
- Royal Rabbit Vineyards' Chatelaine 2012: “Best in Class” for Off-Dry Blend
“In all, Baltimore County wines ended up with 18 gold, silver, and bronze medals from the competition’s judges. An especially impressive feat, considering the more than 400 wines produced in Maryland’s growing wine industry,” wrote Fish.
