Towson Tavern Debuts Lunch Service

The lunch menu features more salad and sandwich selections.

, a high-end eatery emphasizing regional American cuisine, premiered its lunch service Monday.

"We definitely felt there was a need in Towson to have a little more upscale option for the lunch crown," said Daniel Henry, executive chef.

Lunch will be served Mondays through Fridays, from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

"We have more salads and sandwiches available for lunch," Henry said.

The summer lunch menu can be viewed in full on the restaurant's website.

Henry said the restaurant wasn't packed for the first service, but the feedback was positive.

"We heard good things," he said.

Having to walk past the carpet of cigarette butts in front of the Recher Theatre next door, not to mention the broken windows, bottles and smell of stale beer on the Shealy Avenue side of the building, I lose my desire to eat there. The place looks beautiful but if the area around the restaurant looks awful, my thinking is what must the kitchen be like?
