UPDATE: Perry Hall's Manhattan Grill Closes Permanently

Honeygo Village Center management is seeking a new restaurant to take its place.

After some hope that its closure may be temporary, Honeygo Village Center management is now seeking a new tenant to replace Perry Hall's Manhattan Grill.

Janet Griffin, a lease administrator with Chesapeake Realty Partners, said the restaurant has officially closed permanently and another restaurant is expected to take its place. Anyone interested in leasing should contact Segall Group at 410-753-3000, Griffin said.

The restaurant closed its doors at the beginning of December. Chesapeake Realty Partners offered no explanation for the shut-down.

Megan Knauer, owner of the nearby shop Carlyn Smith Creations, said she was disappointed by the closure.

"The food was great. I'm always disappointed to see anything bad happen to a little business around here," Knauer said in December.

The restaurant's website remains live and states that it opened in 2004.

One Perry Hall resident contacted Patch after he redeemed a $25 off certificate for the restaurant on Restaurants.com, which still lists the business as open. Other residents also shared their surprise over the closure on Perry Hall Patch's Facebook page

What type of new restaurant would you like to see come to Perry Hall? Tell us in the comments.

I vote for a bike shop, with an area set aside for local riders to do self-repairs on their bikes. Would also be a good place for meet ups for ride starts.

Whatever they put in there, it will be hard to keep as the rents are too high for this economy.

You have some of the most well regarded real Mexican food in the country in the While Marsh Mall. R and R Taqueria has been featured on the Food Network and a couple of National Top 10 lists for best tacos.

I just wish they would open so I can sit outside for Happy Hour on nice beautiful sunny days. Dont have to drive anywhere to get an Ice cold brew.....
