The Baltimore County Bar Association announces that the Public Awareness and Speakers Committee will be holding a public forum to raise awareness about Human Trafficking in Baltimore County. This event is scheduled for Monday, January 14, 2013 at Central Presbyterian Church, 7308 York Road, Towson, Maryland. The focus of human trafficking for this Public Forum is on children under 18 who are coerced into commercial sex.
The distinguished panel of speakers consists of Jeanne Allert, The Samaritan Women and the Maryland Rescue and Restore Coalition; Alicia McDowell, The Araminta Freedom Initiative; Scott Shellenberger, Baltimore County State’s Attorney; and Major Evan Cohen, Commander of Criminal Investigations for Baltimore County Police.
Co-Sponsors of this forum include: Baltimore County Commission for Women (BCCW), Councilman David Marks, and Towson Area Citizens on Patrol.
