Jason, Good point. I cross that light at N. Centre and Sunrise everyday, and when it's out of sequence, cars get backed up onto Sunrise highway, thus blocking eastbound traveling cars.

This has been going on for years now. When the police are notified they simply say it's a difficult corner to control?? These are the assinine answers given?? We've already discussed the light in Lakeview Ave and Hempstead ave. A delayed green is desperately needed here. A no left turn sign from Hempstead ave would also solve the problem ! How many times was the pole on the n/w corner been struck due to this? The s/e corner of Ocean and Sunrise is sinking into the earth and the streetlight here hasn't worked in over 10 years??

I agree on the no left turn from hempstead ave onto Lakeview. In the mornings and afternoon, I sometimes wait three lights just to pass over Lakeview b/c someone is making a left.

the Hempstead ave/ lakeview ave intersection is the worst one yet. Being a volunteer for the village getting a call 430-630 in the afternoon around there it takes me about 5-10 minutes to get down hempstead ave once i pass st. marks. something has to be done about this and it needs to be done immediately

It's such a simple solution as I previously described. This would me due diligence on the part of our legislators who don't have the balls to do anything in this village and should be held accountable.
