Edgewood Crime: Robbery at McDonald's, Thefts

The following information was supplied by the Harford County Sheriff's Office. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.

From the Harford County Sheriff's Office:

Harbinger Trail, 1700 block, 4:42 p.m. on Feb. 19. Electronics and cash were stolen from a home.

Willoughby Beach Road, 2400 block, 9:17 a.m. on Feb. 19. A 17-year-old student was arrested after arriving late to Edgewood High School with suspected marijuana in his posession. The juvenile was released to the custody of his parents.

Cherry Road, 2000 block, 6:50 p.m. on Feb. 18. A gold 2003 Mercury Grand Marquis was stolen from the driveway of a home. 

Liberty Court, 400 block, 4:14 p.m. on Feb. 18. Items including electronics, home furnishings and jewlery, carrying a total value of approximately $5,000, were stolen from a home.

Olive Branch Court, 800 block, 1:06 p.m. on Feb. 18. A pair of Versace sunglasses was stolen from a 2008 Mercury.

Jamestown Court, 500 block, 2:02 a.m. on Feb. 18. Approximately $200 in items were stolen from a vehicle.

Sequoia Drive, 700 block, 12:25 p.m. on Feb. 16. An unknown suspect slashed the tires on a 1995 Honda Accord.

Edgewood Road, 1800 block, 12:15 p.m. on Feb. 16.
An unidentified man was arrested for trespassing on property at the Sleep Inn.

Pulaski Highway, 2200 block, 7:42 p.m. on Feb. 15. 
A male approximately 20 years old reportedly robbed two other young men at a McDonald’s. The victims were robbed of personal items by the male, who had a black handgun in his waistband.

I also live in Edgewood, I would'nt live anywhere else in Harford County! It's a wonderful community and really good schools were the teacher's really care about the children!

They only report the bad things that happen. You never see anything about the good things that happen there or anything about the hard working people of the area. It is always negative just like the Aegis. I don't understnad the attitude of being better than everyone else that caomes from the people of Bel Air

Edgewood is the worst place you could live in this county. The crime blotter is focused on Edgewood because that is where the majority of Harford County crime happens. The schools in Edgewood are rated the lowest in the county, being on par with Baltimore City's average test scores (and those are LOW). I'm not saying Edgewood doesn't have a decent area or two (even Baltimore city has some decent areas), but in comparison to the rest of Harford County it's ghetto as hell and I think if you lived elsewhere in the county you would certainly see that.

Thirty years ago, Edgewood was a great place to live. Today it is a hot spot of crime and gang activity. All of Harford County knows this. That is why it is called "EdgeHOOD".
