Pikesville Woman Won't Be Charged in Royal Farms Crash

An early Saturday morning car crash caused significant damage to the convenience store.

A 19-year-old Pikesville woman won't face charges after her car crashed into the front entrance of a Royal Farms convenience store early Saturday morning, leaving a gaping hole.

Baltimore County Police Department spokeswoman Cpl. Cathy Batton said investigation revealed that the woman was attempting to park in front of the store, located in the 1500 block of East Joppa Road, when she accidentally hit the gas pedal instead of the brake.

No one was injured as a result of the crash, police said Saturday.

Royal Farms closed Saturday morning while contractors worked to repair the building. Store representatives declined to comment on when the store would reopen.
