Police Arrest 4 Men in Robbery of Teen

Anne Arundel County police said the four men stole some cash and a cell phone from a 15-year-old boy in Odenton on Sunday evening.

Anne Arundel County police charged four men in connection with a robbery of a teenager in Odenton on Sunday evening.

Police said they received a report at about 7:40 p.m. that a teenage boy was robbed near the 1500 block of Annapolis Road.

Officers spoke with a 15-year-old boy, who told them that four men approached him and assaulted him, taking his jacket and cell phone. He gave a description of the men, and officers eventually found the suspects in the area.

Those charged included Tyrone Vincent George, 23;  Aaron Nicholas Barr, 19; Dionte Xavier Cain, 19; and Quentin Maxell James, 23. All are residents of Odenton, and were charged with robbery, second-degree assault and theft under $1,000.

Further investigation revealed that the victim may have been targeted due to an incident that happened just before the robbery. Officers charged the victim with destruction of property related to that prior incident.

This comment is directed to those who simply read an article and react without knowing all the facts. These four young men didn't commit ANY crime. The supposed "victim" in this case not only lied to his mother about being robbed, he also lied to the police. The "victim" in this article is actually the perpetrator, as he initiated a crime of malicious destruction. The four young men were simply reporting the crime committed by the “victim” to his parents. Because of the lies the “victim” told his mother, the four young men were arrested at the doorstep of the mother. These facts (and additional supporting information) are currently being addressed by all parties involved, and this case will be resolved forthwith. Too often, sensational headlines create backlash and opinions, which prejudice individuals unfairly. I would hope the author of this article writes a follow-up article once the four men are cleared of all charges. It would show there are often two sides to a story, as well as restore some dignity for these young men.

I am tired of hearing about feel bad for the four young men. Why would any 23 year old react to something like what a 15 year old did in such a way. There is a court date for a reason. They all were arrested for a reason. I hate when people make excuses for those not doing right.
