Police Arson Squad Investigating Bellona Ave. Fire

Baltimore County detectives found that the targeted home was burglarized.

A  fire at a home on Bellona Avenue Monday is being classified as arson.

The home burglarized and a 2006 Porsche Cayenne with Maryland tags 584M126 is missing, according to a police news release. A television and DVD player was also stolen, according to a statement issued by the Baltimore County Police Department.

Investigators from the county police arson squad determined that an accelerant was used to start the fire at two separate locations in the house.

Fire and police personnel responded to the fire in the 7000 block of Bellona Avenue at around 8 a.m. Monday. A firefighter fell through the floor into the basement during the incident, but was not injured.
