Search for Sex Offense Victims Follows Carney Purse Snatching

Jordan Snyder, who was recently charged in connection with a purse snatching, was also charged with sex offenses.

Baltimore County Police Department detectives believe that a Carney man recently charged with two fourth-degree sex offenses may have had more victims.

After 19-year-old Jordan Snyder was arrested in connection with a purse-snatching at a Carney Walgreens on Nov. 5, he was charged with two counts of fourth-degree sex offenses, Patch previously reported.

Police released the details of the sex offenses—which took place in November 2011 and February 2012—on Nov. 14. Investigators believe similar crimes may have occurred but gone unreported, according to a press statement.

On Nov. 9, 2011 a man approached a woman outside a nail salon in the 3200 of E. Joppa Road, grabbed her buttocks and fled into the woods near Oak Summit Avenue.

On Feb. 23 of this year, a man approached a woman outside her Oak Summit Avenue home, grabbed her buttocks and ran into the woods.

Snyder, who was charged with one count of fourth-degree sex offense for each of those incidents, is being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center. He additionally faces charges of three counts of second-degree assault and one each of robbery and theft.

Possible additional victims of Snyder are asked to call 410-887-5310 and speak with Detective Mautonis.
