Suspected Peeping Tom Faces Similar Charges in City

Zachary Campbell, 20, of Baltimore, is charged with spying on females as they used the restroom in several area colleges, authorities said.

The Baltimore man was on probation for similar incidents in Baltimore County and is facing charges next week for the same violations in Baltimore City, authorities said.

Baltimore County State's Attorney Scott Shellenberger said Zachary Campbell, 20, received a 120-day suspended sentence and one year of supervised probation and was ordered to stay away from in September after pleading guilty to peeping tom charges that stemmed from an incident in June 2011.

According to online court records, Campbell, who is being held at the in lieu of bail, was scheduled to appear in Baltimore County District Court on May 14 for violating his probation following peeping tom charges in Baltimore City before the alleged incident last week at CCBC Essex.

Campbell is scheduled for trial May 15 on the Baltimore City charges.

In each incident, Campbell is accused of spying on female students as they used the restroom.

"We have a number of cases and we are dealing with all of them," Shellenberger said.

CCBC Essex who was suspected of two previous incidents before a third victim allegedly caught Campbell in the act and before officers arrested him, school spokeswoman Hope Davis said. Davis added that the school's public safety officers, which had increased patrols around the women's restrooms, had identified Campbell earlier in the day before he ran away from them.

Baltimore County police spokeswoman Detective Cathy Batton said last week that police are still investigating to see if there are any other victims.

Now, if he had only shaved and put on a dress, he could have claimed that he was a transgendered person and gotten away with it.
