Third 'Pill Mill' Suspect Turns Herself In

Bail has been set at $50,000 for a Brooklyn, NY, woman now charged with conspiracy to distribute narcotics out of a Lutherville pain clinic.

A New York woman surrendered to police Monday morning as a suspect in connection  that was called a 'pill mill' in an affavdavit in support of a search warrant.

Alina Margulis, 45, of Brooklyn, was indicted Monday by a Baltimore County grand jury on charges of conspiracy to distribute Schedule II narcotics, according to a Baltimore County police release.

Margulis was ordered to surrender her passport. Her bail was set at $50,000.

So far, three people have been arrested in connection with the Healthy Life Medical Group—a clinic in the 1100 block of York Road that allegedly over-prescribed patients powerful painkillers that were not medically required, according to law enforcement officials.

Gerald Wiseberg, 78, of Boca Raton, FL, and Michael Jacob Reznikov, 51, of Brooklyn, NY,  with conspiracy to distribute narcotics. Reznikov and Margulis are reportedly married and operated the clinic. Police believe Wiseberg was a third partner in the scheme, according to the affidavit attached to the search warrant.

An attorney representing Reznikov and Wiseberg said the two men plan to plead not guilty to the charges, WJZ-13 CBS Baltimore reported.
