Towson Crime: Inmate Escapes While Cutting Grass

The following information was supplied by the Baltimore County Police Department. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.

 

Towson

York Road, 900 block. Between 2:30 p.m., March 28 and 11:53 a.m., April  3. Eighty carbon monoxide detectors, valued at $19,900, were stolen from the Carver Center construction site.

York Road, 600 block. 2:17 p.m., April 3. A man walked into a  Bank branch, approached a teller and placed a bag on the counter with a note that implied he had a gun. Police said the teller gave the man an unknown amount of cash and he fled.

Bosley Avenue, 700 block. 9:50 a.m., April 2. A inmate walked away from the jail while cutting the grass. Police arrested Daniel Faiso on April 5, according to online court records. He has been charged with first-degree escape and is being held without bail at the detention center.

Ruxton

West Wind Road, 300 block. 11:15 a.m., April 8. Someone attempted to enter a residence through a rear bedroom window. The home's alarm sounded and the person fled.

Stoneleigh

Copeleigh Road, 7000 block. April 6. A 20-inch black trek bicycle and a 26-inch black mountain bike were stolen from an attached garage. The previous day, three bikes were stolen from the home, and witnesses saw three males riding bikes away from the scene.

York Road, 7000 block. Between noon and 2 p.m., April 2. Fifteen feet of copper drain spouts were removed from the side of a home.

Ridgeleigh

Chestnut Oak Road, 8600 block. Between 2 a.m. and 8:30 a.m., April 1. Ten steaks were stolen from the victim's freezer while she was sleeping.

Loch Raven

Loch Raven Boulevard, 8100 block. Between 3 p.m., April 1 and 9 a.m., April 2. Four plastic chairs were stolen from a resident's backyard.

The Colony Apartments

Bridgeman Terrace, 700 block. 12:20 p.m., April 2. A man knocked on an apartment door while covering the peephole. A resident opened a patio door to see who it was, and the man rushed the victim, took a cell phone and fled.

Hillendale

Lyle Court, 1600 block. Between 1:20 p.m. and 2 p.m., April 4. A woman found a son who was not allowed in the home sitting in her kitchen with an unknown man and woman. The three left, and the resident later discovered a Droid tablet, $250, Nike shoes, New Balance shoes and a wall sign were missing.
