Towson Crime: Rodgers Forge Apartment Burglarized

Rodgers Forge

Rodgers Forge Road, 200 block. 8:59 a.m. March 11. Christopher Joseph Hardesty, 23, of the 200 block of Jenny Drive in Westminster, was arrested and charged with third-degree and fourth-degree burglary and destruction of property. Police said Hardesty entered an apartment overnight while intoxicated. No force was used to enter. While inside the apartment, Hardesty ripped a closet door from its frame and tore down a shelf, according to a police report. Police responded to noise complaints and arrested Hardesty.

Hillendale

Collinsdale and Deanwood roads. 6:50 p.m. March 7. A woman was walking south on Deanwood Road when two women ran up behind her, grabbed her purse and then ran eastbound on Deanwood Road.

Taylor Avenue, 900 block. 7:13 p.m. March 9. At Radio Shack, two men, one wearing a wig, entered and grabbed three Boost Mobile phones. One used pepper spray on a clerk before the robbers fled. 

English Oak Road, 6600 block. Between 1 p.m. Feb. 29 and 1:15 p.m. March 8. Someone destroyed an apartment's wall, carpet, window screen and kitchen floor.

Loch Raven

Loch Raven Boulevard and Thetford Road. 4:15 p.m. March 8. A man approached two victims from behind and demanded money. The victims said they had none and the man fled.

Greenway Road, 8400 block. 6:01 p.m. March 4. A couch caught on fire in an apartment.

Pinehurst

Midhurst Road, 200 block. Between 11 p.m. March 1 and 4 p.m. March 7. Three Baha mini-bikes, a Stihl 16-inch chainsaw, an Echo leaf blower and a Troybilt leaf blower were removed from a garage. The garage was likely left open.

Towson Woods

Bridgeman Terrace, 600 block. Between 8 a.m. and 9:50 a.m. March 7. Someone entered through the apartment's rear door and removed computers, printers, a television, a video game console and cash from a bedroom and living room.

Towson

Goucher Boulevard, 800 block. 12:06 a.m. March 6. A man approached a female Exxon clerk after she locked up the gas station shop and demanded to be let inside. The victim said she had no keys. The robber then demanded the victim's money and cell phone. She said she did not have those either. The man cut the victim's hand with a knife and fled. His jacket, gloves and knife were recovered on Acorn Circle.

Glenmont

Lachlan Circle, 6900 block. 10:05 p.m. March 11. A man was approached by three men who asked to see his phone and cash. They punched and kicked him until he fell unconscious. The men fled with his iPhone.

Knettishall

East Joppa Road, 1500 block. 12:32 p.m. March 11. A man took $350 in cash from his girlfriend by force. He also took a BlackBerry cell phone, police said.

Ridgeleigh

Black Oak Road, 8600 block. Between 10 p.m. March 3 and 11:07 a.m.  March 5. A purple Schwinn bike and helmet were reported stolen from a backyard.
