Towson Crime: Man Attacked With Barbecue Fork

The following information was supplied by the Baltimore County Police Department. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.

Downtown Towson

East Pennsylvania Avenue, 100 block. 3:21 p.m., March 18. Two men were arguing over a woman. One man allegedly attacked the other, biting off small pieces of the victim's ear and nose. He then tried to stab the victim with a barbecue fork. The man was arrested and allegedly fought with officers at the , where police then used a Taser. Darryl O'Neill Steedman, 31, of the 100 block of East Pennsylvania Avenue, was arrested on charges including first-degree assault, second-degree assault and second-degree assault on a law enforcement officer. He is currently being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center, according to court records.

Loch Raven

Loch Shiel Road, 1800 block. Between 10:39 a.m. and 6:20 p.m., March 21. A 26-inch Dynex television, Toshiba laptop, camcorder and Panasonic digital camera were stolen. Police found no signs of forced entry.

Yakona Road and Loch Raven Boulevard. Between 6 p.m., March 24 and noon, March 25. A white 1986 Jaguar (Maryland tag 48393ZL) was stolen from its parking space.


Goucher Boulevard, 800 block. Between 7:45 p.m., March 21 and 7 a.m., March 22. Two printers, a laptop and a generator were stolen from a construction trailer. A lock had been cut.

York Road, 900 block. 5:08 p.m., March 25. A school resource officer found four juveniles in the construction site of the new . The juveniles fled. Police found six pieces of graffiti in the building and found that a fire extinguisher had been discharged.


Loch Crest Court, 6400 block. 11 a.m., March 23. Behind the building, a man took a gold chain, valued at $8,000, from the victim's neck and a gold bracelet, valued at $600, from the victim's wrist. The robber then fled on foot toward Falkirk Road.


Chestnut Oak Road, 8500 block. 1:50 p.m., March 22. A man was allegedly assaulted by his girlfriend's brother for an unknown reason. The assailant allegedly tried to cut the victim with a knife. The victim was taken to University of Maryland Shock Trauma. Police arrested Geovani Perez, 28, of the same block. He was charged with first- and second-degree assault and reckless endangerment, and is currently held at the Baltimore County Detention Center on $250,000 bail.


Forrest Road, 1800 block. Between 8:30 and 9:40 a.m., March 24. A television was taken from a first floor office and $200 was taken from a bedroom dresser. Police found that a rear basement door had been left unlocked and discovered wet shoe prints at the scene.
