Towson Crime: Robber Strikes Towson CVS, Walmart

Taylor Avenue, 1000 block. 4:55 p.m. Nov. 14. At , a man demanded  money from the register, and the clerk refused. He grabbed a pack of cigarettes the clerk had already retrieved for him, then fled.

Putty Hill Avenue, 1200 block. 5:14 p.m. Nov. 14. A man approached the register at and asked the clerk, "Give me the 50s and 100s." She complied and the man left the store and drove away in an older-model car. The man stole $1,704.65. Police believe the same man attempted to rob the CVS.

Taylor Avenue, 1300 block. 12:36 p.m. Nov. 15. Police say a man entered a home through a rear window and waited for her to get home. He then assaulted her in the head and face. A vase and lamp were reportedly destroyed. Police later arrested the victim's ex-boyfriend, Tamango Johnson, 38, of the 1800 block of Bolton St. in Baltimore. He was charged with assault, burglary and use of a dangerous weapon. He is currently being held on $50,000 bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center.

Ashlar Hill Court, unit block. 12:47 p.m. Nov. 15. Two men broke into a home through a sliding glass door. The home's alarm then sounded and the two men exited through the front door. A neighbor questioned them, and they claimed to be with a bank that had foreclosed on the property. The home's mortgage was in good standing.

East Joppa Road, 500 block. Between 7:30 p.m. Nov. 16 and 9:30 a.m. Nov. 17. Two air conditioning heat pumps were stolen from behind a building. An air conditioning unit was also tipped over.

Gallington Lane, 7900 block. 11:36 a.m. Nov. 16. A maintenance worker at The Colony found three juveniles who had apparently made illegal entry into an apartment. They fled, but were arrested and charged with burglary.

East Joppa Road, 1700 block. 6:38 p.m. Nov. 16. , a man robbed the Parkville Goodwill. Police say the man entered through the store's side door, approached the cashier and demanded money from the register. He then grabbed the clerk and took her to the manager, then demanded money from the safe. He fled with $886, ducking under a trailer and crawling through a hole in the fence.

Taylor Avenue, 1300 block. Between 7 a.m. Nov. 19 and 1:15 a.m. Nov. 20. A Toshiba laptop was reported missing. Someone used a rock to break a basement window.

Overbrook Road, 800 block. Between Nov. 9 and Nov. 20. An unsecured gas generator was removed from a backyard.

Putty Hill Avenue, 1200 block. 1:03 p.m. Nov. 19. A man approached a register at with two dog toys, then put his hand in his coat pocket, implying he was armed. He demanded money from the register, which he received, then fled on foot.
