Towson Crime: Phones Stolen in Robberies

The following information was supplied by the Baltimore County Police Department. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.


Donachie Road, 6900 block. 1:16 a.m. Aug. 1. Two men approached a couple. One pointed a handgun at them and ordered them to lay on the ground. The men stole an iPhone 4, debit card and a Verizon Droid phone.


Taylor Avenue, 1000 block. 10:14 p.m. Aug. 1. Three men knocked a man to the ground, dragged him across the sidewalk, removed his cargo shorts and took a brown T-Mobile flip phone and a wallet. The three men fled toward Salvo Auto Parts. The wallet was later recovered.

Wentworth Avenue, 1700 block. 2:36 a.m. Aug. 5. A resident woke up to find four men trying to break into his shed. He went outside and the men fled toward Forrest Avenue.

Sheppard Pratt

North Charles Street, 6500 block. Between 3:30 p.m. July 27 and 7 a.m. July 30. Eight 2x4 aluminum shoring panels and two 34x45 steel struts were reported stolen from a construction site at .

Calvert Hall

Lasalle Road, 8100 block. Between 5 p.m. July 30 and 5:45 a.m. July 31. At , a burglar broke a plywood construction door and stole $4,300 worth of copper.

Loch Raven

Aberdeen Road, 1700 block. Between 7:30 a.m. and 3:10 p.m. Aug. 3. A burglar pried open a door frame and stole an Xbox 360 and an industrial floor leveler.


York Road, 6300 block. 5:50 a.m. Aug. 3. Burglars used a hammer to smash a glass door at Radio Shack, then tried unsuccessfully to steal cell phones from a stock room.


Oak and Red Oak roads. Between 7:30 p.m. Aug. 1 and 5:15 a.m. Aug. 2. A 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee (Virginia tag XAJ1057) was reported stolen. Police had no information on how the vehicle was taken.


Ruxlea Court, unit block. Between 3 p.m. July 23 and 6 p.m. Aug. 1. A Stihl leafblower was reported stolen from an unlocked shed.

Lake Walker

Walker Avenue, 600 block. 11:10 p.m. July 30. Two burglars cut a window screen, took a purse and fled. Police arrested one juvenile.

No surprises here. Towson is now officially a ghetto. You cannot even walk to and from the mall without thugs brought in by section 8 vouchers stealing your phones.

Yes, it is true. I moved to Towson because I could walk everywhere, but it's not safe. They allowed downtown Towson, the 500 block of York to crumble and the cockroaches moved in.
