Detours are in place as crews begin repair work on the streetscape in the 400 block of Washington Avenue.
As we reported in June, required the streetscape's brickwork to be redone.
"The project is under way and being done at no cost to the county," county public works spokesman David Fidler said Tuesday. "I think they're hoping to get it done very early September."

The road closures for the project will be similar to the pattern used during the streetscape's construction. Right now, Washington Avenue is closed between Bankers Way and Chesapeake Avenue. When crews finish that side, it will be closed between Bankers Way and Pennsylvania Avenue.
Sewer project nearly complete
Fidler also said that work on a underneath Kenilworth Drive in Towson is nearly complete, with delays stemming from testing problems. However, he said the finished line "should be operational this week."
