(Update 5:13 p.m.)—Two Towson businesses are appearing before the Baltimore County Liquor Board to fight for their liquor licenses.
Recher Theatre and French Press Cafe will have to answer for alleged noise violations. The businesses risk the loss or suspension of their licenses.
Both businesses were scheduled for hearings on Monday, but county officials postponed the appearances to a later date due to the pending storm and anticipated power outages.
Recher garnered media attention when fights broke out among a crowd of approximately 2,500 people outside the building in September. A 20-year-old man was shot in connection with the incident, Baltimore County police said.
Seven men were arrested for their alleged roles in the fights.
Prior to the melee, problems were few at the venue.
