Zimmer Calls Special Saturday Council Meeting

Mayor seeks to repeal the ordinance to move elections from May to November.

The Zimmer administration has called a special council meeting for 9 a.m. on Saturday to repeal

, to have the decision go up for a public referendum.

The city clerk certified those signatures last week.

For Saturday's meeting, the city is planning to repeal the ordinance in a special meeting. So far, only Councilman David Mello has confirmed that he will be there.

A quorum of at least five council members is needed to have a vote take place.

Attached to this article is the announcement from Mayor Dawn Zimmer, calling the meeting.

Art, if it was a desperate move from Campos, why did Zimmer step down? She had already won the seat. Campos was also facing legal difficulties from his DUI in NYC - Dawn gave HIM the respite from court. She should have stuck it out. Would have earned some respect.
