A fraternity is dedicating a popular fundraiser to two fallen students who were active in Greek life.
At 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 25, members of the Delta Sigma Phi will begin their bi-annual 48-Hour Seesaw fundraiser. Members and volunteers will take shifts riding the seesaw over the following two days while passers-by can drop off donations.
University president Maravene Loeschke will ride the seesaw from 11 to 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
Towson students Ryan Bailey, 20, and Timothy Coyer, 27, on March 31. Both men were fraternity members—Bailey in Sigma Chi and Coyer in Kappa Sigma.
The money raised in the seesaw fundraiser will go to set up a scholarship in Bailey's name and to the Wounded Warrior Project.
