Dogs, Cats, Kids, and Santa Pictures - A Fun Holiday Event at the Humane Society Sunday

Bring your kids and pets for photos with Santa at the Baltimore Humane Society's Holiday Lights Open House this Sunday, December 4th from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Kick off the winter season with the Baltimore Humane Society's annual Holiday Lights Winter Open House, being held this Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. The free event is held on our grounds at 1601 Nicodemus Road, Reisterstown.

Every year the Baltimore Humane Society and its supporters recognize the special animals in our lives with a Holiday Lights celebration. Colorful lights decorate shelter buildings and structures, and lighted animal silhouettes adorn the driveway and surrounding areas.

Bring your pets and children for photos with Santa, visit with shelter animals available for adoption, enjoy holiday treats, and join in the Animal Silhouette Lighting Ceremony at 5 p.m.

Photos will be taken courtesy of SnapsPhoto and can be purchased for a small donation. The McDonogh Middle School Chorus will cheer the day at 2 p.m. with holiday songs. There will even be face painting and balloon twisting by Creative Occasions.

You can dedicate a light or lighted silhouette to a special furry or human friend and support the Baltimore Humane Society with your purchase. Gift recipients will receive a special card letting them know of your contribution. A Holiday Lights Donation Form can be downloaded at bmorehumane.org.

If you have some holiday shopping to do, you can check off the animal lovers on your list while you're enjoying the open house.  Happy Tails Calendars with photography by Mary Swift will be on sale.  So will the opportunity to sponsor one  of the shelter animals -- a lovely gift for any animal lover.

There is no fee to attend the Winter Open House, but the donation of a wish list item or small monetary contribution is appreciated. All contributions will directly support the care of shelter animals at the Baltimore Humane Society.

See you there!
