Third 'Pill Mill' Suspect Turns Herself In
Bail has been set at $50,000 for a Brooklyn, NY, woman now charged with conspiracy to distribute narcotics out of a Lutherville pain clinic.
A New York woman surrendered to police Monday morning as a suspect in connection with an investigation into a Lutherville pain clinic that was called a 'pill mill' in an affavdavit in support of a search warrant. Alina Margulis, 45, of Brooklyn, was indicted Monday by a Baltimore County grand jury on charges of conspiracy to distribute Schedule II narcotics, according to a Baltimore County police release. Margulis was ordered to surrender her passport. Her bail was set at $50,000. So far, three people have been arrested in connection with the Healthy Life Medical Group—a clinic in the 1100 block of York Road that allegedly over-prescribed patients powerful painkillers that were not medically required, according to law enforcement officials…
