Cafe Troia Hosts Wine Dinner

The culinary director of a Washington state vineyard flew to Towson for the event.

  While patrons at many Towson bars were celebrating Cinco de Mayo, guests at Towson's Cafe Troia enjoyed a special wine dinner. The event featured wines from Ste. Michelle Wine Estates in Woodinville, WA. John Sarich, the winery's culinary director, flew in as a guest speaker for the event. Lisa Troia Martin sent us some photos and the menu from the night, in case you're curious about wine pairings: Minestra Spicy Crab Gazpacho Wine: Rose, Scalabrone, Guado al Tasso, Antinori Antipasto Crispy-fried soft shell crab with pancetta potato hash and oven roasted asparagus dressed with hollandaise. Wine: Vermentino, Guado al Tasso, Antinori Pasta Grilled quail and talleggio ravioli with a wild mushroom demi-glaze and accompanied by spicy roasted…
