TOWSON, MD — A neighborhood association is reportedly negotiating with the developers about the potential for a new Chick-fil-A in Towson.
The property is at 1265 Joppa Road, on land southwest of East Joppa Road and Mylander Lane, according to Baltimore County. That address is also home to Bob Evans.
A zoning hearing slated for this week about Chick-fil-A's request was postponed. It had been set for Tuesday to discuss the need for waivers and variances, since its drive-thru lane would be 4 feet from residential property; its signs would exceed the maximum square footage permitted; and it would be near a failing intersection, that of Joppa Road and Loch Raven Boulevard.
The hearing was postponed pending negotiations with a neighborhood group, WMAR reported.
Currently there are Chick-fil-A restaurants in the Towson Town Center and on the Towson University campus
I can’t believe these are our ‘leaders’. Drugs deals on every corner and in every parking lot. Johnny Clueless so concerned about low income earners, when they live better than the middle class. Garbage bags littered everywhere by mostly the people Johnny ‘entitled’ to county houses.
My concern about some of the logic being used here is that the problem isn't the plastic bags.
Let's talk about the people who are doing the littering. Full garbage bags placed on the streets and sideways. Garbage being thrown from cars and trucks. Pedestrians walking and eating..than throwing garbage on the ground. Dog walkers not picking up after their dogs. Etc..
