TOWSON, MD — National Night Out is Tuesday, Aug. 2, and multiple communities near Towson are having get-togethers to celebrate.
The annual affair “promotes police-community partnerships and provides an opportunity for neighbors and members of law enforcement to come together,” according to the Baltimore County Police Department.
Here are some events happening in the Towson area, according to Baltimore County police:
The National Association of of Town Watch founded National Night Out in 1984 to involve communities in crime prevention.
People do not even have to go anywhere to recognize National Night Out.
"Turn your porch light on to show your commitment to your community and public safety," police said.
I can’t believe these are our ‘leaders’. Drugs deals on every corner and in every parking lot. Johnny Clueless so concerned about low income earners, when they live better than the middle class. Garbage bags littered everywhere by mostly the people Johnny ‘entitled’ to county houses.
My concern about some of the logic being used here is that the problem isn't the plastic bags.
Let's talk about the people who are doing the littering. Full garbage bags placed on the streets and sideways. Garbage being thrown from cars and trucks. Pedestrians walking and eating..than throwing garbage on the ground. Dog walkers not picking up after their dogs. Etc..
