TOWSON, MD — Police said someone was carjacked this week in the Idlewylde area.
The victim was held at gunpoint as two strangers stole the vehicle in the 6500 block of Falkirk Road.
The carjacking happened around 1:15 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 10, police said.
Recently, the Baltimore Police Department shared tips to avoid becoming a victim of carjacking. Authorities advised keeping windows up and doors locked while inside the vehicle. Park in well-lit places, and be vigilant of surroundings.
If someone does try to carjack you, police said to avoid physical and verbal confrontation.
“Make a mental note of the suspects and their vehicles,” police said in a statement. “If a carjacker accosts you, give up your car and leave the scene.”
These are carjacking hot spots, according to police: streets with low lighting, residential driveways, gas stations, ATMs, parking lots and garages.
I can’t believe these are our ‘leaders’. Drugs deals on every corner and in every parking lot. Johnny Clueless so concerned about low income earners, when they live better than the middle class. Garbage bags littered everywhere by mostly the people Johnny ‘entitled’ to county houses.
My concern about some of the logic being used here is that the problem isn't the plastic bags.
Let's talk about the people who are doing the littering. Full garbage bags placed on the streets and sideways. Garbage being thrown from cars and trucks. Pedestrians walking and eating..than throwing garbage on the ground. Dog walkers not picking up after their dogs. Etc..
