SC Pastor Arrested On 12 Child Sex Crime Charges In Baltimore County From The 1980s

GEORGETOWN COUNTY, SC—A pastor from South Carolina has been arrested and charged with sex crimes against minors in Baltimore County, according to police.

Police say the Georgetown County South Carolina Sheriff’s Office arrested the pastor on Thursday on eleven warrants from Baltimore County, including charges of criminal sexual conduct with minors.

Thomas James Brackett, 59, is the pastor of Holy Trinity Pentecostal Church in Andrews, SC. He was taken into custody without incident at his residence, according to police.

Police say the offenses occurred in the 1980s while Brackett was a teacher and youth pastor at Tabernacle Christian Church in Baltimore County.

He will remain at the Georgetown County Detention Center until he can be transported to Maryland for trial.
