BALTIMORE COUNTY - A student is in police custody, and another is at the hospital with serious injuries after an assault occurred at Lansdowne High School.
According to police, a student resource officer was alerted to the first-degree assault at 12:45 p.m. Police said a 15-year-old student was stabbed by another female student, with the victim suffering “serious injuries.”
Lansdowne Principal Allison Seymour informed parents of the assault and said the school went into lockdown from 12:40 p.m. to 1:15 p.m.
“All students and staff are safe,” Seymour wrote. “This is an active investigation, and there will be an increased police presence on campus throughout the afternoon.”
Baltimore County Executive Johnny Olszewski released a statement calling the incident “heartbreaking.”
“We are praying for a full and speedy recovery to the injured student, and we applaud the school resource officer on site for their efforts to quickly apprehend the suspect,” Olszewski wrote in a tweet.
Additional police will be present at the school as the incident is investigated. All afterschool activities were canceled on Tuesday.

Well maybe just maybe, the committee thought it was time for some new blood and since Ms Johnson has already served on the board before , to pass on her. Why do we spend so much time on diversity instead on educating our children ??
