BALTIMORE COUNTY - Do you know a superwoman in Baltimore County who deserves some serious recognition?

The Baltimore County Commission for Women is seeking nominations for its annual Women of the Year Awards, which honor outstanding women for their exceptional contributions to the community. If you know a woman who fits the bill, it's time to give her the spotlight she deserves!

Each year, the Commission accepts nominations for three categories of awards: "Woman of the Year," "Young Woman of the Year," and "Woman Making a Difference." Nominations will be open until May 1, 2023.

The awards recognize female residents of Baltimore County who have made significant, unique, and lasting contributions within their community to serve as role models of inspiration and achievement for other women, champion the interests and needs of women and families, or enhance the lives of Baltimore County citizens.

Individuals must have been Baltimore County residents for at least three years to be eligible for nomination. Previous winners and elected officials are not eligible.

Nominees for "Young Woman of the Year" must be a high school senior attending a Baltimore County school who is a proven leader and has made an extraordinary impact on her school and community through volunteering.

One of the nominees will be recognized as a "Woman Making a Difference" who has made a significant impact on the community through volunteer efforts.

The winners of these awards will be honored at a ceremony later this year.
