Bracket Finalized: Towson Mens Lacrosse Face Delaware In First Round Of CAA Tournament

TOWSON - The bracket has been solidified for the 2023 CAA Men’s Lacrosse Championship. Fourth-seeded Towson will take on top-seed Delaware on Thursday, May 4.

The four teams in the tournament: Delaware, Drexel, Stony Brook, and Towson have played exceptional seasons, with all but Delaware (6-1) finishing the year in a three-way tie for second at 5-2. Drexel earned the second seed by way of head-to-head victories over Stony Brook and Towson, and Stony Brook is seeded third due to its head-to-head win over Towson.

All three regular season contests between the Dragons, Seawolves, and Tigers were decided by one goal, with two going into overtime.

The opening face-off for the first semifinal is 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 4, featuring top-seeded Delaware against fourth-seeded Towson in a rematch of their regular-season finale. The second semifinal will follow at 8:30 p.m., as second-seeded Drexel squares off with third-seeded Stony Brook. The winners from each semifinal will advance to play in the 2023 CAA Men’s Lacrosse Championship game at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 6.
