COCKEYSVILLE - Baltimore County Homicide Detectives are investigating a shooting that occurred in Cockeysville early Sunday morning.
According to police, officers responded to reports of a shooting around 5 a.m. on Sunday near Halesworth and Cranbrook Roads in Cockeysville. After arriving on the scene, officers found 28-year-old Earl Bodkin Jr. suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
"Upon arrival, officers located a victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds and requested a medic. Medic responded and pronounced the victim deceased," Baltimore County Police Detective Anthony Shelton said.
Police have not clarified if the shooting was random or targeted.
The incident remains under investigation, and Baltimore County Police are asking anyone with information to contact detectives at 410-307-2020. Information may also be provided through iWATCH.
